I'm pretty sure my mom is going to kill my cat.

First of all, she's not really my cat, I didn't even want her, and I don't particularly want her now. When my aunt died, I moved in to her house, she had a dog and cat that I sort of inherited. the dog got sick and we had to put him down, he was old as dirt, it wasn't that big of a deal. I don't like cats, but since it's my aunts cat and we live in the house we sort of inherited from her, I feel obligated to take care of her, or at least not just have her put down for no reason. I thought about giving her to a friend who likes cats, but she's old and honestly, a terrible pet. She shits all over the house and pisses on anything soft you leave around. If we leave the bedroom doors open she'll piss on the bed. I can't just pawn all that off on a friend of mine.
That being said, we don't actually own the house, it belongs to grandma, and eventually when she dies, it will be sold and the money will be split up. My mother keeps an eye on the place to make sure we're taking care of it. She's concerned that the cat is going to ruin the carpets and destroy other stuff, so I'm pretty sure she's going to have her put down.
In short, I don't want her, I can't give her away because she's a terrible pet, but I can't just let an animal that's not sick be put down for no reason other than that she sucks.
