I'm still a little fuzzy on my feelings about warped tour...i mean, don't get me wrong, it was a hell of a time, but things didn't seem the same. it's like an era is drawing to an end or people are changing too much....every 3rd person that i saw was probably 15 or under...it was a little unsettling...i miss dirty, messy, sweaty hardcore punk rockers.
germaine amphatheatre was NOT the place for a warped and they utilized the space in a shitty shitty manner.....there was NO fuckin room around the main stages...i totally bypassed most of the merch booths just because i couldn't make my way there. ava and i just settled on a hillside for most of the day and mourned the loss of "our" warped tour. also, parking was like $10 and it's usually free at that venue...it was rip off the punk kids day. we tried to go see Legbone on the ErnieBall stage but totally missed them cause we're dumb....we also couldn't find an SG booth...was there not one at this branch of the tour?
bad religion was fucking amazing though...lordy lordy i love those guys...this is the 3rd time i've seen them live and i'm never EVER disapointed. flogging molly was as well badass...i'd never seen international noise conspiracy before adn was really impressed by them too. tiger army...oh tiger army......i fucking love stand up bass and i fucking love them!!!!
good charlotte played a really lame set....no old songs at all...ava and i remember when they knew us and used to give a damn....
i guess overall it was a really good day, but again, it just didn't seem the same. i'm still really glad that i went and i still had a good time.....but have an overwhelming feeling of *meh* about the whole situation!!!
