sometimes, i get really sick of working at a place where my attention to detail is often seen as a bad thing or the fact that when i offer to do something for someone it ends up being my fault if i don't offer to do it every time.
granted, i am a control freak and i like things done my way. so, i offer to do things sometimes that don't necessarily fall under my umbrella of job duties, but after i do something once people assume that i'm always going to do it so if i don't and it doesn't get done, then i get chastised for it, which isn't right.

It's a shame that people are taking your willingness to help for granted. It's always hard to find the right distance between "oh, sure I'll help you" and "no, go away" to stand at.
