Here among long-discarded cassocks,
Damp stools, and half-split open hassocks,
Here where the vicar never looks
I nibble through old service books.
Lean and alone I spend my days
Behind this Church of England baize.
I share my dark forgotten room
With two oil-lamps and half a broom.
The cleaner never bothers me,
So here I eat my frugal tea....

snuff out the candles,
silence the dog.
fasten the doors,
savour the dreg of wine.
gently lift the tonearm
-the silent void returns
in the still moonlight
the radiator heart beats.
cool bare soles upon
coarse wooden boards
padding meekly up the stairs.
how silent, how still
life seems without him.
how large a space,
how stern a house,

Friday night....at last.
A quiet one in this evening. Original plan had been to go to a gig night with a friend from home and flatmate 1. Friend has fallen ill. Flatmate 1 waited until 21:30 to see her boyfriend so didn't want to go out beforehand. Boyfriend arrived in grump and left at 22:00, thus rendering the evening pretty much wasted.

Well done for the horticulture. I've done a lot of that in the past, but have forgotten a LOT of the latin names. I do remember Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides though - that's foot rot of wheat
Actually, I went to see biffy the other week at rock city. They were awesome, but maybe not as awesome as last time I saw them there. I wonder if maybe they're doing too many gigs...
Oh, so how do you feel about the organic thing then? I'm quite pro-modern farming, GM, and biotech, but i think we have loads to learn from organics, and i love the ingenuity of both camps

In a quaint, kooky house, on a strange dirt track, at the edge of a small City, lives Nelipot. And in the morning she drinks her tea and wrestles with her tights, tames her curly blonde mane and heads off to work at something which should be more exciting than it is. At lunchtime Nelipot will eat a banana and dream of all the other...
