We made it! To Bulgaria!
Took us 4 days on a road, through Europe with a car. 3 women in a car without working navigation system and as said, somehow we made it! Lots of fights, screaming in the car when someone took a wrong turn and lots of laughing. A true roadtrip which everyone need to experience once in their life time. I´ve done it now and can say, never agai! Lol.
Once we arrived to Bulgaria, it took us 3 weeks to settle down. Changing cities, looking for a perfect city for us to stay and lots and lots of hotel rooms. Finally we found a charming city, a bit by an accident and fell in love. Now 2 days ago we moved into our own apartment and life is finally starting to settle down back to normal.
Here it is, Veliko Tarnovo.
A city full of people who smile to you when you pass them on streets, food and wine so cheap that you feel like a king and most of all, we have been welcomed with warm hearts into a local Finnish community so we already have made some amazing friends.
It was still +27 degrees when we arrived to Bulgaria but bit by bit the temperature has started to drop. Autumn is coming here as well. It gets quite challenging to dress when during day you can easily be without a jacket and during evenings you need to have winter clothes on.
The funniest evening so far was 2 days ago when we went to a fund raising event to collect money for homeless animals. A topic very close to our heart and besides the event, we have been daily feeding homeless animals.
Here streets are full of them and only very few people care. Breaks our heart to see starving animals therefore everytime we have passed a cat or a dog on the street with our car, we have stopped to give food for them. Feels revarding, even though it is not much. But every bit helps, I like to think of!
But for now. I am focusing on a nice bottle of chardonnay, taking some pics and updating this blog.
Also to reveal, I have been planning a new photoshoot, a new set for this site. I have contacted some photographers in Finland and once I return there, I could do some work with them. But all that is still under planning, everything. I am very body cautious about my new curves (got them thanks to a medication I ate) so we will see if I will turn out camera shy..
Happy Friday everyone!
Kisses!
