A few years back when I started shooting, I decided I'd enter some competitions for portrait photography. Just to see if what I was doing, was any good. I ended up entering one comp and my photo was a finalist.
Meh!
I then got busy and didn't think any more of it.
So one of the comps I researched has opened for entries again this year and I've decided to enter something in it.
I had an idea and with a six pack of beer decided to have a crack at shooting it. A dimly lit, nude self portrait.
Here is what I came up with. I'm still undecided as to whether...
1. I actually like it or not.
2. Is it too clich? Has it been done to death? The whole "mirror image looking at camera" thing.
3. Can I make it better? And if so, how?
