I have my first paying shoot today! Who'd have though that after spending the last 20 something years in the same industry, I'd start to branch out not something (ever so slighty) different?
Should be fun. It's a band shoot, well actually a solo artist. I'm going to shoot in a little laneway near my place and I just rememberd this morning that there is a laundromat on the corner. I know, I know, it's a little cliched, but I don't think the kids of today will pick up on it.
What am I saying if anyone is reading this, YOU are the kids of today. Ok, 20-somethings of today So tell me can you think of nay musicians that you like doing photoshoots in laundromats? Sure it was a big thing in the seventies and maybe even eighties, but I don't recall seeing any lately.
Anywho, I'm gong to give it a crack anyway and I'll post some shots tomorrow...if I'm not drunk or busy with my boys. It's Australia Day tomorrow here. Basically a public holiday to get pissed with mates, throw a lamb chop on the barbie and then watch the young racists with too many southern cross tattoos on the news at night giving the country a bad name.
Maybe I won't watch the news and read my boys a book instead
Oh, while I'm here, we're shooting Scotty soon for the Geronimo Jerky shoot and the Indian head-dress turned up in the mail last week. The boys and I had an impromptu photo shoot....
