I thought having a cat all hopped up on drugs and doped out of its mind would be ... somehow not as disturbing as it actually is.
No i didn't do this to the cat myself.
She had to go into the vet for a dental appointment and they had to check and make sure she wasn't sick or diabetic...
can someone explain how a cat gets a UTI? sigh.
so in the meantime, she's a big cat. She's also a very ... mean cat, if you happen to work at a vet clinic and she happens to be in your care. She's not a bad cat...she is just big enough and has enough teeth and all of her claws to let people know when she doesn't like something.
Well, apparently in dosing her the first time to put her under for dental cleaning, the anesthesia didn't take. at all.
She just refused to go to sleep. and likely tried to ginsu someone's arms in the process. She does that sometimes.
So they gave her a second dose of sedative.
So now....at 10:30 at night (i dropped her off at 8am this morning and picked her up at 5pm...) I still have a cat that can't stand up hardly, and keeps trying to meander around the house like that drunk guy at parties no one wants to mess with because he's loud and keeps knocking shit over. Yeah, that's my cat right now.
Fucking hell. she keeps getting all worked up and won't hold still for five seconds at a time but can't seem to hold herself up long enough to get a drink so she keeps knocking over her bowl...
I'm NOT looking forward to the fun that a litter box might entail soon...
See, my now-ex-wife got me this cat. And I love the cat, but somewhere, somehow, i think this is my punishment.
anyone have experience with this? vet says she SHOULD be ok by tomorrow, it's just that she's so big that the gas they use to put her under is lingering in her fat cells and just needs time to wear out.
I called bullshit, but he swore it was truth.
