On the list of things that would make me giddy, a box of frogs is certainly near the top.
Here is another personal revelation: (people seem to like reading these)
I have Tinnitus. That's 'Ringing of the ears' for those not in the know. It sucks. It never goes away, and you never "get used to it". It's usually on the right side, but sometimes switches to the left. It also changes pitch and volume unpredictably. I almost always have the TV or music on to drown it out, but in quiet times like book reading hour or before I fall asleep, it comes right back into the fore.
I also have mild hearing loss. I have trouble hearing anything above a certain frequency. My ENT (back when I had health insurance) said it would affect my ability to distinguish hard consonant sounds. I really feel it in situations with lots of background noise, such as crowded restaurants. I can rarely hear what people are saying in these settings. So there went my Interpreter career, along with 3.5 years of my life and $40K.
Here's a picture of Rocky Balboa as a G.I. Joe figure:
My Mom came to visit for Memorial Day weekend. She left yesterday. My Father is coming out this afternoon. Between these and the in-laws last weekend, we have been familyrific since the Dawn of Time.
Thank you
