How I foresee this year in a nutshell? "We're all gonna die in two years anyways, so fuck it!"
Juuust kidding, I'm not that cynical, but I'm sure many of those around me might be. Instead of indulging in negativity right off the bat, I took the path of good old consumerism instead. In the form of "Wii Fit Plus". I didn't get this rather pricey and complicated game system because I want to lose weight. I don't really have much to lose is I want to have any chance of not freezing to death this winter. I bought the game because someone else purchased the Wii console for me for Christmas and I've already gotten bored with the usual basketball, swordplay, bowling, etc. I wanted something different. Something new. Something rather en vogue at the moment.
And what I got? A plastic board and virtual trainer who can force me to beat the living bejeezus out of myself all because I want a better score than my boyfriend. Yeah, I'm in trouble. I have caught the Wii Fit craze, and until the stash of AA batteries has been depleted (... or used for more "important" tools
Ahem...) I will continue to pounce on my Balance Board in hopes that my natural balance sucks slightly less than it did the previous day.

It's better when you get the downloadable content too, one of them is a really badass character. It's a fun game, I haven't beat it yet, but then I've been on my Wii craze this week haha
