Health stuff crashed quite a bit recently, haven't been able to run or do much at all for a couple weeks. May be a heart issue (I get a heart monitor tomorrow) or thyroid (waiting on blood test results). Really hoping thyroid as that's an easy fix! On the plus side, all the recent couch time has meant a lot of Baldur's Gate 3 time, so I started a new run and have been having fun as a Monk
I've seen a lot of positive comments on Reddit avoid La'zel's romance storyline so thought I'd try that this run but gotta say... Not for me, I think. Back to Karlach we go 😅💕🔥
I'm registered for my next marathon at the end of this month on the 25th, but not sure if that's happening yet into I know more about the health situation. I'm also supposed to be running my first ultra in May and I've been really looking forward to it, so just hoping answers get here in time.
I really haven't thought about goals or anything for this year with everything going on but - just doing my best to stay positive and productive.
I've been getting back into drawing, finally, which I've been kind of burnt out on since the beginning of the year and that's been really nice for me. Drawing has always been such an important outlet for me and I've been missing it so much.
Hoping I can get back to running/being outside asap but also looking forward to making more time for art and creative writing.
Also, if you missed my last photo post, made an impulsive hair change right before the new year and am enjoying my redhead era so far lol. Hoping to get some more nicer pictures once I'm feeling a bit better!
Some other random updates:
I adopted a new cat last month! His name is Copper and he's awesome. I can't believe how quickly he's been accepted by the other cats and just love how sweet they all are together.
Working on a lot of DIY projects and upgrades at home. Built some shelving, working on catio plans.
Had a friend visit from San Diego which was really great and good for my soul.
Got an amazing new (to me) couch from a friend for free after they upgraded.
I've been getting involved with some local lands advocacy and was invited to speak at a conversation event which was really powerful and humbling.
Annnnnddd obligatory photo dump!
