Still waiting on biopsy results, but otherwise all the news from my medical procedures this week is good. I have a pretty severe infection in my stomach lining, but it's extremely treatable. Already on new meds and a different restricted diet (though less restrictive than what I've been doing for the last two months) and should be fully back to normal within a month or two. Also, while I've been easing back into running over the last few weeks...I'm now ✨ officially doctor approved ✨ to return to all exercise without restriction.
Some of the specialists I've seen had suggested I had colon cancer or Chrohns disease, or other more severe problems going on and I was both frustrated at the wait time on diagnosis and also scared about what news I'd get once I did have access to diagnostics. And while cancer would have been treatable and Chrohns would have been manageable, this is obviously a much less severe answer with an easier treatment plan and I am currently feeling quite a bit of relief.
Weirdly, I was also very stressed about the idea of going in for testing and just being told that they didn't find anything actionable/didn't see anything wrong or otherwise couldn't provide a diagnosis or treatment plan.
So having not only answers but very good answers is just a huge relief and weight off my shoulders in general. Anyway. Time to run 🏃🏻♀️
