I mentioned in my last blog that I had submitted a new set... but while that one makes its way through the queue, I've also got another set coming for SG's new summer camp contest 🤩 because of course I do haha!
This set was a little challenging to shoot - I didn't want to do a tent set, since I already have one in MR 👀 but I wanted the set to be reflective of my actual camping experiences and adventures which meant something outdoorsy - plus I've got a whole new state to show off (Been really loving it here in UT)! So I decided the natural progression from car camping is backpacking, and of course backpacking is one of my favorite things so that's what I went with 😁 my pack in this set is the actual gear I used on my 220 mile backpacking trip this summer and it feels nice to immortalize it on SG!
Unfortunately temps here are already in the mid-90s lol and the cooler days are usually incredibly windy. So finding a safe but also logistically possible place to shoot was a bit tricky. But, worth it I think! I've wanted to self-shoot a set since I first became a hopeful so I'm really stoked to finally have not one but two self-shot sets coming out this year 🙏🏻💜
And actually, after over a year of not really being able to work with photographers due to covid it's nice to have things coming to SG again 🥰
