talking infront of the senate was pretty swell! It was all really exciting until I was infront of the microphone and all the cameras swivled in my direction. I was shaking hardcore.
afterwards people told me I did great and they were impressed and couldn't have done it without me while handing me their cards and patting me on the shoulder.

it was too surreal.

but the bill got passed with no amendments. meaning raise in min. wage with no cap on tipped employees.
but it still has two more stages where it can get rejected. so cross yer fingers.

and the monster went over AWSOME!

it was so funny, because my brother was so terrified of opening it...then once he had me help him open it he was all excited! He named it Pluto and they are inseperable. He shared his pjs with him, and his breakfast, and they had all kinds of lego adventures and he even brought him to school.

he called me today and told me that I have to go back to pluto's planet, where i got him and get him some sunglasses for all his extra eyes and a snowsuit so he won't get cold.
when I told him that pluto has fur and probably won't get cold, he said, "yeah, well our cat dezmo has fur and he gets cold when he goes outside"

can't argue there.

but is makes me feel all special that he likes something so much that me and jordan made...and how cool it is to have a boyfriend that sews.
