I haven't seen the sun in days. I tried to flip my schedule back the right way, yesterday, by staying awake until 6pm, and then going to sleep. But I was awake again at midnight, with an even more screwed up schedule.
Now, in the dark, silent, snow-suffocated depths of a lonely New Years Eve, I pace the darkened hallway between the kitchen and computer room, cradling a be-flowered ceramic mug of English Breakfast tea. At one end lies the porcelain-white, fluorescent-lit, wood-and-steel kitchen, with a pile of article reviews that never seems to get smaller. At the other, the oxford-den, furry-warm, comforting-hum computer room with the pink glare of SG.com breathing softly.
You know where I am now.
I don't want to go back down that hallway.
