I just got a commission to do a Steampunk Santa. Pandering and unimaginative, or am I just limiting myself? I have so many Steampunk minded friends and as cool as the aesthetic can be it uses such frequent motifs that I'm kind of bored with them by now. If you run in the right circles, it's easy to see how diluted it's become. Throw a top hat with a gear on it and it's now steampunk.
