it has been a while since i've written here....a lot has happened and if you have the time to read on...you won't be too bored....
spring break was some two weeks ago and i celebrated by driving up there...by myself...and come back with my sister and her friend who were already there having flown one way....
while there we went our seperate ways...they rented a car, which is rather useless when your are a visitor, i took the Bart, which is the way to see Frisco...
I happened upon some medicinal marijuan conference up there...my curiousity aroused when i passed a hotel downtown that had that unique gonja smell....
it was quite an experience for i met all these people with dread locks and tattoos, backpackers from Europe, and very formally dressed folks, people who you wouldn't otherwise see together, and here they were under one roof...for one cause.
It was a welcomed change from the hate between those for and against the war...that unity after 9/11 had been gone up until that moment in that hotel lobby...
I struck up a conversation with a few people...tried to peek into a conference room every once in a while...I was not a paying member so i wasn't allowed past the doors...but each time the door opened in would come a whisp of gonja cloud...
it was a bizarre time...i took some souvenir's and left...hungry now...
I came upon this blues cafe called Lou's at the Fisherman's wharf and ordered a bowl of clam chowder in the bread bowl, and listened to the awesome blue's music that, as it turned out, was live.
The day ended with a walk to the Golden gate bridge and my ride back on the bart....
Now i am back home...and tough it out for the rest of the school semester...until the next trip....
