Today is a good day. It started bad, but ended up good.
Got up late after going to sleep late (I see a pattern emerging here), and got on with work for most of the day. I've been doing lots of geeky stuff like working on my existing website, looking for an easy way to create a new website, and working on promoting my podcast. Managed to get my podcast ranking on the iTunes directory UP 15 places, so was pleased with my efforts, and celebrated with an all-day breakfast at the local greasy spoon.
I followed that up with a trip to the doctors for my annual asthma check, which they totally messed up, but I was told that it was the best asthma check result they'd had in years. That said they also made out my prescription for new inhalers with loads of other new kit on top, so that ended up costing me nearly 30 instead of the usual 15! You can't put a price on your health though I guess.
On request from my housemate I went round to see our nextdoor neighbour to ask him again if he'd seen the cat, and to get some more info. He wasn't able to give me much to go on, but ruled out him being in their house or back garden. I spent most of the day working on my laptop in the kitchen with the back door open, just in case he decided to just wander back in. No sign
My housemate got back early from work and went off around the neighbourhood looking for Julius but found nothing. Just when we'd given up hope and were getting on with our things we hear a knock at the door. My housemate freaks out a little, and I go to the door to find our other neighbour pointing and talking about a cat being on their window sill. Sure enough it's Julius, grubby and dirty, but alive, healthy and not a scratch on him!
We are very happy, dare I say ecstatic, to have him back.
Thanks to those that wished me well and sent out positive thoughts for his safe return!
