What an awesome weekend. My friend Britt came up to London on Friday and stayed all weekend. We went to the Future Funk Squad gig at Cargo Friday night which was kick ass. They definitely upped their game and the short, sharp and snappy timeslot made for a better performance, plus we were drinking pear cider which was expensive but great. Managed to get the last train home and stayed up drinking for an hour or so before hitting the sack.
Saturday I took Britt to see some bits of London she'd not seen before. We went for a traditional English Breakfast at the local cafe, then off to the Banksy Exhibition down at South Kensington, which took all of 5 minutes to look at. To say the gallery was small is an understatement, and they seemed to be charging huge amounts for what were essentially screenprints with a signature on. Not sure I'd be shelling out 30,000 for a copy too soon. After that we had a little look around the rather impressive food hall in Harrods, and then went up to Camden to check out the market, stop for a beer and check out some vinyl. That done we headed off to the Tate Modern, a place that I've wanted to go see for a while but never seemed to have (or rather make) the time. The big attraction at the moment is the Unilever Series, which is basically a load of impressive looking, and quite scary looking slides. Didn't get the chance to go down the big one (unless we wanted a two-hour wait), but Britt braved one of the smaller ones. Bloody impressive installation!
After that we headed home for a quiet night in, some chicken fajitas, and a viewing of Clerks.
Today was the big shambles to some extent. Britt had also not had a traditional Sunday Roast dinner, so we walked down to a great pub near us, ordered our food and proceeded to wait for the advised 50 minutes (it was pretty busy at the time). Two hours later we were tipsy, annoyed and still hungry due to no food being brought our way, and kicked up a bit of a fuss. Managed to get a full refund and a free meal and bottle of wine out of it too at a later date. Had to brave the weather (which was BIZARRE today) and ended up eating in Quizno's (yes we have one in Britain), and then walking home.
Overall, and roast shenanigans aside, a mighty fun weekend. Back to work tomorrow, so I guess the fun has to end sometime.![wink](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/wink.6a5555b139e7.gif)

Thats the craziest looking slide I've ever seen. I think I'd wait in line to say I went down it.
