it's been too long. how i missed SG over the last few weeks.
left portland late on the 27th just before the snow. got through the snow in northern california and made it to san fran. had dinner w/ an old friend, took a bang-up hour long driving tour around the city, then split for san diego. got there early on the 29th to surprise my friends for new years. went down to san philippe, baja mexico for the week and had a blast at a 3 story ocean view condo. partied it up, then headed back to san diego. an old roommate drove back w/ me to chicago. left at 4 am on saturday and we only got about 150 miles out before the car overheated and blew the thermostat. spent 7 hours at Sid's in victorville CA before the cavalier was operational. after that it was a straight shot along old route 66 back to chicago. got home around midnight sunday. just caught up w/ sleep today. good to be home, even if it's only for a few weeks.
