So I've got two more weeks of night school, then time to sign up for new courses! Such joy never ends. On the subject of school, congrats to my Vron who was recently accepted into Harvard (yes, that Harvard). She's leaving for Cambridge in a few days to tour the college and meet some of the faculty. Here's the kicker...will she accept their offer? Stay tuned as the drama unfolds. To backtrack a little bit, Vron and I don't live in the same city so it is a critical skill to be able to comfortably foster a long distance relationship.
Over the weekend, I threw out my neck-not sure how, but I did manage to do it. You always hear about people throwing out their backs or whatever, I didn't actually think it could happen to necks (sharp, twitching pains, can't turn your head without pain, etc...) I had that to deal with on top of getting a head cold Sunday night. This is basically my third for the season...heheheh you know good things come in three's... But you see, as much as it sounds like I'm whining, all that didn't matter because Tuesday made up for all of it. Tuesday is new release day in the record stores, and on this particular day...the long and anticipated wait for the new Morrissey live DVD was over. Yes people, this was truly a day for all the Moz diehards, or any fan for that matter. It's release is significant for many reasons. It's the first time he's toured in so long. He performed many never-played-before Smiths songs. The show was recorded in his hometown of Manchester, and on his birthday too!
Note to self: should have been a music journalist
Today, I leave you with one of the best Morrissey-penned lyrics ever! Taken from the Smiths song "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out"
and if a double-decker bus, crashes into us, to die by your side, such a heavenly way to die...
