As I walked out of the bathroom and over to the expectedly unsympathetic looking bed and began shakily taking off my street clothes before taking the walk down the hall to the surgical suite where I knew all too well the hoIlowing, unyielding post operative pain that waited for me when I was wheeled out, I wisely put ALL my money on "faith", because, quite obviously, the time for "hope" had past.
