After my 14 years as a lifeguard, my biggest regret is never having approached a rescue victim and saying, "Come with me if you want to live," in a vaguely Austro-mechanical accent. I did, however, abuse, "I'll be back," when phoning in rescues. I guess that will have to suffice as karmic balance.
