i've been on the verge of tears a lot lately. but not sad tears, really. mostly frustrated tears, over-stimulated tears, misunderstood tears, resentful tears. much like those of a teenager. and in some ways that's what i could compare this phase of my life to right now. i'm growing too fast. the new isn't replacing the old fast enough and the old doesn't seem to...

Don't get me wrong....I've got a great life. But I need something exciting to happen to me. Things are getting....dull, routine. But I'm too busy to look for excitement, so I need it to come to me.

I don't want a coin-operated boy. I can't afford one. All my quarters go to the parking meters downtown when I work the day shift. I just want...

So related to the last topic, I want to give you all an update. I was really surprised at how positive and validating everyone's feedback was on the matter. No one said, "screw him!" or "you guys will get back together!". I appreciate that. Thanks. You understand the complexity of these things. I also want to reiterate that I am not in any kind of...

You pretty poetic sometimes, you know that? wink The way you write some of your journal entries I almost feel like I was you for a moment or two.

I can relate a little about getting over a deep, serious love. Those are the most memorable things one can have in a lifetime, and being face-to-face with memories of love gone by is really tough and can be overwhelming. But with whatever happens, life goes on. smile

And I hope I do go to San Diego too, I would love to have a tour guide of some good San Diego alehouses biggrin How much is the average price of beer out there?
rojo:
i checked out the pics before (vanity), but i just now finally read your journal novel.

i love you too, darling! that was my favorite part of coachella - being there with you and pamela. it's so rare for the couple/friend dynamic to work so well - especially for an entire weekend. and i always tell people how rad you are, but it's cool to experience it so acutely like i did that weekend. and i absolutely love that you and pamela get along so well. definitely my favorite coachella ever.

and best of all, with our combined super powers, we were able to persuade a cop to drive our high-asses around in a golf cart. how many people can say they've done that?

This journal entry is dedicated to music.....brought to you by the letter C (as in Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival).

But before we talk about music, I wanted to just say a little something about age discrimination. I have a problem with it. When I was 16/17 I had a huge issue with people discriminating against me because of my young age and the...

The band that did Stacey's Mom is Fountians of Wayne - they are one of my musical guilty pleasures (they put on a good live show blush ).

I've noticed many ladies love Rob Thomas. My last serious girlfriend had a thing for him too, but during his Matchbox 20 days. Some people just have that whatchamacallit that makes people go ga-ga surreal

As for birthdays....I just turned 28 too, and I can relate a little bit to what you're saying about that. smile

A tiny man shorter than you and he got a free drink?! whatta sweetheart. Have fun this weekend.

Update (Are you happy Boss?):

I got approved by CAP and now I have a new catalytic converter for the bargain price of $28.

We permanently adopted Ashley...we just got her papers (she signed the lease). Some people say she looks like a baby seal, but we already have one of those. Besides, baby seals would never get hired as a wine angel at Osetra....

Despite being sick and barely able to breathe, I am incredibly sexually excitable and feeling very deprived...... whatever

I just saw the Harder to Breathe video on Fuse for the first time in a long time and literally was seconds away from orgasm....who says women aren't visually stimulated? Please someone else tell me Adam Levine is incredibly hot and I am not just dripping wet because...

Man, that's tough with having such an animal attraction to someone. Real tough. Only cure for that is...well...there is no cure. Damn. Good luck with all of your sexual adventures, may they be so hot and steamy it makes the porn you see in the airport hotel seem like family programming. wink

Excellent... I was doing the Bailey's in the cocoa thing... along with a ridiculous amuntount of those wee marshmallows, of course.

I hope you're feeling better. Dr. Trilo prescribes getting drunk out of your mind. The booze will weaken your germs' ability to do anything... and your party animal immune system will step in and take advantage of those germs like a prom date wink

Yes.. it's a wonderful book. I think she knows that she has it, and I think she knows as much as any person can know about it, really. But it's like she has a tough time realizing to herself - though I'm sure she knows - that just because you know how the disease works... that doesn't mean you've overcome it. It is interesting reading.. but I almost always prefer non-fiction to fiction anyway. smile

Oh happy day! I LOVE COFFEE....mixed with sunshine and good friends the serotonin spike can last all day!

And I also get giddy when I don't sleep much....(2 hours last night cuz gord462 needed a ride to the airport and I'm good like that).

I'm starting to realize that routine long runs on the beach in the moonlight are more effective than antidepressants.....I'm becoming a...

30 huh? I'm dreading it already, I've actually been counting down to 30 since I was a kid. Sad, but unfortunately true. Moonlight jogs huh? On the beach? That was me last year, but nowadays I've been going at around 4:00 pm and I stay on the roads.....actually in La Jolla, it's kinda nice and there aren't too many people out. It'sd getting way too cold tho', so I might start going a little sooner, that's one thing I NEED to be addicted to! lol..Ahh,coffee...it get's me through the days, but in CA I haven't found a good place to get an iced coffee so I'm stuck with Frappaccino.(in the bottle) Good to see you back!
borisboris668:
Yeah, that whole thing with the MB rapist is pretty scary..that was close to your house huh? That's really uncool. I'm actually one of your snobby neighbours to the north..lol..PB. I've been here for about 3 years now, and I really dig the PB area, but then again I've only lived here. But I do love the Boardwalk Bistro...also, you guys have a Taang! records, so that's pretty cool..

Today was the first day that I was aware that fall is here. There's a briskness mixed into the warm sea breeze, and the boardwalk has a peaceful revitalizing energy again. I love fall....I always feel so refreshed, rejuvenated and contemplative. I've been looking forward to warm fuzzy hoodies and crackling fireplaces.

I'm reading a wonderful book called "Positive Energy" by Judith Orloff, M.D. and...
