So I had a guest bartending gig tonight and although I didn't get to keep any of the money (it was a hurricane relief effort deal), it still felt good to be doing something, meeting people and flirting a little.....
but interestingly enough, the highlight of my night was kickin' it with some homeless people. I rode my bike to the 7-11 when I got home (part insomnia, part boozed, part bored, part nic fit). I really wanted A cigarette and we haven't had toilet paper for at least a day...
long story short, I ended up at a bonfire on the beach (I'm a sucker for fire...and scorpios apparently) chatting with some really friendly, intelligent, homeless transients. There was Howie, and Tony, and Josh...otherwise known as Chili Dog (cuz he's so skinny and hot, I'm told). Anyway, they were the most real people I chatted with all night and I felt alive. It's amazing, the experiences you have when you aren't going anywhere too quickly.
