Well today is the day! The first of the rooms to be done is prepped and Nereid's father is coming over to help lay the new floor. Kinda lame and all... but I'm pretty damn excited about it. The paint looks great (I think anyways). I have to say though... this whole renovating the house things sees an awfully gargantuous endeavor (did I just come up with those two words?! WOWZERS!!!) now. It has taken 8 days to get the room to where it is now. Granted that's been with working all week and paint twice (didn't like the look of the first color combination.) But yeah, not looking forward to the rest. (Of course as soon as the first room is done, I will start stripping down the next one.)
Went to the Broadway Across Canada production of The Producers' last nite with Nereid, my mom, and my aunt and uncle. My God!!!! What a show. I'm really leaning towards it being my all time favorite (yes even possibly above 'Phantom of the Opera"). And I was really reluctant to put much into it. The movie was okay and all, but MY GOD!!! What a show. The sets were so amazing. It was really odd though, Bloom and Bialystock were played very much the way Mathew Broderick and Nathan Lane portrayed them... if you closed your eyes and just listened, you would almost swear it was them on stage.
This years shows I'm not entirely sure of... compared to the last seasons runs of
'Chicago'
'Cats'
'Phantom of the Opera'
'Aladin' with Brett the hitman Hart (which totally sucked!!)
"The Producers'
This season there is only three shows;
'Mama Mia'
'Movin Out' with Billy Joel
'Riverdance'
Just seems the new season can't possible compare.
Anyhow... was a wonderful nite.
Time to go have a bubble bath in the hot tub.... definitely don't think I'm letting Imperfectly or Ali Bug back into it with their bathing suits on again!!!!
Have a great day one and all.... I'll post pics of the room very soon.

I know what you mean about the line up of shows that tour. Last year was really good - this year was a let down. I always had season tickets, but didn't bother this time. The only show I wanted to see was Wicked. As a former subscriber, I got to pre-order online and had great seats. Then I got hooked up with another set of great seats for the theater's annual fund raising gala, which was for Wicked. So I saw it twice!
I enjoyed The Producer's, but I still have such great memories of the ORIGINAL movie with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel that everything pales by comparison.
