Well, i just finally get my copy of the premier issue of "Tattoo & Piercing" magazine, with Amina on the cover.
I must say I waited soo long for this magazine. It's kind of stupid how long it could take for any merchandise to get to Mexico (I just don't want to think how long it would take if I live in Argentina). But the wait was incredibly worthy. The Amina bio and interview are incredibly revealing and you can't imagine the amazingly cleaver, beatiful and bright person Amina is.
I've been wondering what it takes for anybody to become as cool as that. I was just thinking that it has to do with suffering, but then i realised that I am not shure that Amina has suffered because of her condition -maybe she has suffered other kind of pain: love, deception, whatever; but why do we assume that people "suffer" just because it's different, or because they are in a situation we consider "a tragedy"? that line of thinking is oftenly wrong, stupid, even kind of fascist...
Anyhow, reading Amina, knowing about her dreams and hopes and willing is just amazing. Because she seems to be very focused on being. On making a living out of her attitude, not only out of her beautiness.
AND, that leads me to Malloreigh. Well, I've been in love with her eyes for as long as I've been a Suicide Girls member but, when I discover her other talents (she's a very talented designer) I just feel so increadibly touched. Why? Well, almost for the same reasons I admire Amina: both intelligent, both creative, both going for it in this world.
How come suicide girls can be so cool? Because they define what's cool
