What is 'beauty'?
Is beauty just a cultural thing, based on whatever the common consensus is at any particular time? Or is there true beauty, that we can find in all cultures and times?
I think there is 'true beauty', but most people abandon it for artificial and superficial beauty. They worry about what others will say about them, yet judge others for being different. It maybe social media that destroys our self confidence by posting what they want us to consider beautiful. However, we all make it worse by adhering to what society dictates as to what beauty is.
It makes me sad that the truly amazing people out in the world are getting looked over because they don't follow the beaten path or look, act, and dress like everyone else. I'm not saying this with a guilty conscience. I'm saying this with hopes that the kids growing up who can't afford expensive things don't get overlooked as people too.
Maybe you'll read this and learn to not judge a book by it's cover, I'm hoping it will. Maybe it will even teach you to except others for who they are and not who they had to become to 'fit in'. I honestly just hope you read this and gain something from it.
