I need a new job.. I want STUFF! 
I made the mistake of going to the instrument shop and was looking at all sorts of 'toys'.. I've wanted an upright bass for years and years. Why do they have to be so expensive? Every year or so I go into the same store and inquire about them, and every time I walk out depressed. $2000 (Canadian) for the cheapest one! I think it's used, also. AaAAaaaGH. My current electric bass costs more than that brand new, but I got it far cheaper 2nd hand (and in mint condition).. And that obviously wasn't my first instrument either. It's quite an investment for the first example of an instrument you buy!
I was also looking at new speaker cabinets for my current setup.. but again.. $$$

at least you don't play drums, that shit gets really expensive.
