This is an oldie but a good starter homework for me. I have never really taken part in these blog homeworks, I guess part of the reason is I took a break around the time that they became a thing. Some of the reason is I just struggle to take part and communicate as I find it really exhausting.
I have been a hopeful and member of suicidegirls since 2006 and this site has changed my life in so many ways, I could never begin to list them all but here are a couple of things that really mean the world to me:
Thanks to SG... I have become a more confident person, SG taught me to not give a fuck about how I look and about what people think of how I look, it has given me the confidence to be naked in front of a camera and around people and be comfortable in my own super awesome skin. Here are a few photos from my journey:
In order the talented @ayah @oweng @alma and the lovely @jessaskittles (my most recent set to be accepted into MR)
I have also had the pleasure of becoming fantastic friends and shooting with the beautiful @miro and @snowy and many others.
Thanks to SG... I have made some amazing friends who I could not imagine my life without. Growing up I was always VERY disconnected from people never really learnt how to make friends and was a very emotional person. I struggled for years with depression due to my inability to communicate with people, I was diagnosed with countless mental health problems non of which really fit and the doctors could ever agree on or manage them with medication correctly, at the end of last year I was finally given some talking therapy help, this lead to the discovery and diagnosis of my autism which to me has been a huge relief and has explained so much.
TLDR:
This has been a truly emotional blog to write, it's not very often I write my feelings down like this.
Love and appreciation, Nanci xox
