On the SG Tour DVD there was a Probot video. It really wasn't all that interesting, imho, it seemed like every other metal/hard-rock music video in the vein of Whitesnake except that tats and piercings were involved. And even then, I don't think that's all that interesting nowadays anyway. I doubt anyone really cared about it being more than that, but I would like to cement my inability to just sit back and enjoy something.
Actually, there were three things of note:
Actually, there were three things of note:
- I really enjoyed the inclusion of a fire-twirler. I suppose you don't want to drown out the band, but if there was as much focus on everyone else maybe I'd see this as OMG SG!
- The lead singer had giant warts on the side of his face, which I guess does make the whole thing a little funny in a Spinal Tap kind of way.
- Wait a minute, Probot is David Grohl, Lemmy Kilmeister, Chronos/Venom, Snake/Voivod and the like? That shouldn't really change the fact that I think it's a relatively lame video, but I guess it does.
I guess in the end it's cool that music videos are inviting SGs along, but it would be nice to have them intertwine a bit better. I guess that's a thing I'd say of most music videos, having been spoiled by artsy-fartsy Michel Gondry and the like...
