...but isn't that what SG should be about? Shouldn't SG be filled with people who I say "eerrr .... no, that's mainstream society talking. Thanks to some very excellent photographers, I'm really seeing the beauty I was dismissing." Now that I think about it, it's hard for me to point at any SG member and say "that person wouldn't be considered attractive by most people"... I'm no sociologist and perhaps I'm just weird, but I don't think either of these are misleading me: most SG models are pretty goddamn hot.
Theories:
- This a matter of who feels comfortable enough to strip down. I don't consider myself an attractive man by any means, so the chances of my timbits showing up on screen are far lower than some Phar Lap.
- SG would actually reject a person for not being pretty enough. I am certain this can be discovered through half-ass investigation and it will be irresponsible of me to not come up with some conclusive answer when I'm not procrastinating.
- This is working better than I could have ever imagined, and people who I wouldn't look over thrice in everyday wear are being shown for the sexy nymphets they are. And let's not lie ... given half the chance, I would not complain if the majority of female people I encounter had consentual and artfully done nude photo-sets, my remaining puritanical concerns be damned! I shall refrain from attempting to prove this inductively...
In other news, one of the interesting things about backlogging in photosets is you notice when new SG models cancel their accounts after their first set. I can think of all sorts of things that lead to this, but it's interesting given last year's ex-SGer kerfluffle. I'm going to assume it blew over and SG did not turn into the man given that nobody seems to be arguing about this anymore...
Also, a picture from Desiree's Recycling Set was used by the SG Facebook group ... from her point of view, isn't that kind of awesome and an honour? It's a really fitting pic too, and a nice change from the official SG pose. I don't mean it to be personal, but variety is the spice of life ... then again, in completely typical fashion, I'd nominate Quinne. So perhaps it's best that I not be on that committee.
but what is the SG facebook group??
