Edit... I've talked a lot of shit about me doing fireballs, so here's one of me doing one over a bonfire a few months back.
I guess it takes 5 trips to the financial aid office to find someone whom either knows what they are talking about, or simply gives a shit.
I went to reinstate the unsubsidized loan today because I'd rather my education be unhindered by me worrying about money. The woman there brought it to my attention that since I'm no longer employed by the company that had paid me through August of this year, that the office of financial aid can re-assess my earnings based on what I've made since June, and also on my estimates of what I'll make through NEXT June.
...
This means I could still qualify for grants THIS YEAR!
This has put me in an overall better mood since I first moved up here. It's not a given, however, but the odds are that I will get something out of this.
I also realized that for my senior year, I will have a low enough income that I should more than likely be able to qualify for the federal Pell Grants.
The next two years are suddenly looking a little brighter. I'll drain my bottle of 151 this weekend to that.
In the words of Jackie Chan, "Who loves you, baby?"
