Miami...........That place is ridiculous!!!! It is the exact opposite of SF and i'm glad to be home. Everyone wants to be seen and lots of people act like they have more than they do. Flashy cars and stars. Sicily and i were an utter spectacle!!! People would actually stop and stare. Everyone wanted to know where we were from and when we would tell them they would go "ohhhhhhhhh". I'll post the pics soon but until then here are some highlights......
*Our hotel was so ghetto and for $150 a night!!! No one could remeber the name- Rianda so we kept changing everytime we said it to things like Laquanda, Yolanda, Ramada, Grenada.
*I saw a few of my old school hometown friends and that kicked ass!!
*Saw Jeff Mills spin at Bed and it was totally the highlight of the entire trip. Went to too many other parties to name. The only parties that had didn't have star wannabe's and hootchies were the techno and drum and bass parties.
*Barely a sober moment. But it wasn't nearly as debauched as one would think.
*Sicily and i were walking down the strip and someone yelled, "Look! Riot girls". WTF???
*[MEMBER=Sfdeep's] partner Carlos saw a famous person going by in in a Rolls in heavy traffic and literally drug me over and stuck me in the window and Warren Beatty smiled at us and the the scene we had just caused.
*I walked so much in big shoes one night that I actually had bruises on my feet, not to mention blisters.
*Went swimming in the ocean, but it was too cold to stay in for too long.
*We went into a clothing sore and the sales boys made a huge fuss and asked us all of these questions and when one of them asked what i thought of Miami I said " Absolutely predictable". He turned and walked away!!
* Some asshole at the airport told me he liked my hair and asked where I was from.........

AH-Isn't that where they are allowing same sex marriages?
N-You watch the news.
AH-You know they are breaking the law?
N-God's law?
AH- Yes god's law. It's wrong because blah blah blah blah blah blah.........
N- Maybe you shold write a letter to Arnold Swartzeneger or someone else who cares about your opinion.
There are of course many other details and maybe Sfdeep and Sicily can fill in the rest. Overall it was an interesting trip and a good reminder of why I live where I do.
