The first thing I hear this morning when my clock radio went off is that George Carlin died.
A true philosopher, he was the first comedian I really, really paid attention to. He probably contributed more to the cynical side of my personality than anyone I've ever heard speak.The world lost a voice of wisdom today.
And so begins my update. Mermaid Parade weekend is always a summer highlight. This time, however, friends and I snuck into the parade. I didn't quite have a costume, but the folks I was with did. What a blast. Being in the parade blows away watching it. Beautiful day, too, and a perfect one in which to get started on a tan.
The whole rest of the weekend was about relaxing with people. Couple of parties, some hammock time, and I'm now rested.
Nothing much else to speak of, but soon...
