FRX 1, PMCS in duh middle
night one of this weekend's field recreation exercise did not go like as if it was anything much remarkable. The Oasis is not my scene -- I could enjoy the rolling bass on some of what the dj was puttin up, and now I can say vene, vidi (no vici, as it were) about the scene, there. I'm pretty sure that it'll be the last time in my life, when I'll waste my time and a cover charge, there. It ain't "my scene", thar.
Tonight, trying the R, forbthwir Requiem Saturday (not to be confuddled, too far, with The Requiem in Phoenix, AZ)
Looking at Saint Rob, that dump of an off-post town, I ain't expecting it to be much, either. Maybe it'll have been at least worth the flippin cab fare and the cover.
I ain't so much out to "make an investment," of course. It's a matter of there being a night spent well, when you ain't come to thinking you've been wasting your time and money.
There'll be a big biker rally, in the area, next weekend, sponsored by Freedom of the Road Riders. I'll probably go to check it out, just not sure of the logistics -- don't need to camp, 'cos I live near the area, and not sure what there'll be if you don't do the $25 day pass, but I know I should take a look, anyway. (I aughta bring a camera -- bound to be some bomb mtercycles, there.)
Anyhow, the satday is goin. Still need to find a plausible bike-cycle shoppe, in the area -- helmet and handlebar tapes, top o' the shopping list -- and get that old Schwinn Transcontinental back on the road, with no sweat for MP policy. "Woop woop, cab-less trans"
