so right now I had a pretty good day

good to hear of your interest in the RAF! man, the vulcan was quite a sight in the 80s. I used to go to a lot of air shows, and the sound those engines made - felt like your stomach was being scraped out. I think there are two vulcans in the UK that are being made airworthy over the next few years. fingers crossed..

you should definately check out the BRITISH SECRET PROJECTS.. series of books, that tell about things that were in the pipeline in the 40s and 50s...
