nah, any religious difference is mainly reserved for the glasgow derby between rangers and celtic. liverpool is just a city with a tribal difference between liverpool and everton. there is some history of liverpool associating with celtic and everton with rangers through the ages, but mainly its only an association perpeutuated by a small minority. for most liverpudlians, its just not an issue these days.

just to clarify - they are the two teams from the city of liverpool. its just local rivalry. their stadiums are only seperated by a park. i am a reds fan simply because i was brought up as one, and then fell in love with the team when they were winning everything.

good to hear of your interest in the RAF! man, the vulcan was quite a sight in the 80s. I used to go to a lot of air shows, and the sound those engines made - felt like your stomach was being scraped out. I think there are two vulcans in the UK that are being made airworthy over the next few years. fingers crossed..

well, in terms of footie, i support Sheffield Wednesday, two divisions down from Liverpool. its been many, many years since we were in the premiership..bah humbug..

aviation..loved everything about aircraft since I was a kid - especially interested now in aviation history - stories of the second world war, the x-planes, vintage record breaking and stuff
