mk3 1995 GTI VR6 Correct Rotor Size ok here my Problem i went to NGP and got my rotors and brake pad upgraded from stock i got Zimmerman Cross Drilled Rotors that are 22mm in diaminter and Mintex Red Box pads but there a problem im in Maryland State and i just bought the car and got basicly $2300.00 worth of work done to it that includes TT exhaust and the rotors and brakes and other MD State inspection i need to have done... too the car but i paid 2k for the car in good shape..... anyways Maryland State Inspection States for the 1995 VW GTI VR6 Needs Rotors 25mm Thick but there is 2 different spec's for 1995 VW GTI VR6 the spec state 1 for 22mm rotor's and 25mm for cars after 8/95 need 25mm thick rotors and mine are 22mm thick..... so i was failed i went to NGP this morning and explained to them what has happened and they told me the inspector is wrong and iu have the correct spec rotor's on my car so anyways i left there and explained to the inspector the problem he said they are wrong and he double check with MD state police and i also went to a different inspection station thats right next to another VW specailist called SSI which is here in towson and the inspector checked and double check the books and MD state inspection states i need 25mm rotors too pass inspection and today was the last day i have my temp tags for so im forced into having goodyear do my rotors.... well they try to get After Market Rotors for 43$ but then they got them in they were 22mm so they said they are gonna have to get them from a Stealer Ship the VW Valley Motor co for 100$ a piece...so total including labor 320$ im like what their crazy they want 100$ for Stock OEM rotors when i Paid 150$ for 2 zimmerman rotors.. so im screwed over by my perdictament and goodyear told me because of the circumanstances i should bill NGP for the rotors and labor because they but on the wrong part's any of you got any suggestions on what to do ????? i need the suggestions bad.. or what or how to go about this correctly...
