I just want to say that, I can't understand how Tattoo's are SOooo "In", that if people don't have them they're like... Oh, I got some coming. Like they NEED to get them to prove themselves? Or.. if they only have 1 or 2.. it's still like, OH There is WAY MORE where that came from? I mean not trying to build a fight against tattooing, I'm just saying, from some people it sounds like they really don't have any idea what the hell they'd want, or why they'd wanna get it. They just feel that it's whats needed in order to be cool?, or as if it's like collecting Pokemon with some people?? It's just weird.
It used to be that tribal arm shit, and all that stuff was like, "Oh, you picked that off the wall!"... Now there are alot of good pieces of work out there, and still I feel like people aren't really connected with whats going on their body as much as it is just a visual way of them screaming to the world, "LOOK AT ME, LOOK WHAT I'VE DONE TO MYSELF!"...
Eh, I guess its all the same. Though personally I feel if you have a need to deface the natural beauty of your body, it should be for a damn good reason, and a damn good piece of original art.
And if you feel a need to stand out, II know of alot of friends with a good sense of shock value and fashion sense that do it quite well without paying thousands of dollars to have a dragon circling a sea of Hokusai waves colored on their arm to make them feel "different"... Honestly I feel like it's just people blending in now.
But Oh Well. This is an emotionally charged blog for whatever reason, maybe its because I've been the "different" kid, and I never woke up one morning saying I wanted to be different, or I needed to be. I just am. Love me or leave me. Tattoo or no tattoo.
