james the manager of the upstage doesnt think people should know this because he believes that people will spread false rumors and stop coming to the upstage early.
i dont think people are that stupid so we have had a falling out.
this is the news and if you spread it get it right:
THE UPSTAGE IS CLOSING AT THE END OF THIS YEAR. not in a year,not right now but by the beginning of january.
if you care or cared about the upstage go as much as you can before it closed because there will never be another club as important to the history of oakland as this club.

due to this disagreement between james and I, i wont be going back.
forgotten music is done, i wont be there at 80's night etc.
if you miss me send me messages and arrange some other place or time for us to hang out.
im upset about this whole thing, but i think james' theory about people not coming out because they know its closing, is rediculous.
