I guess I should probably introduce myself a little better seeings I've got this account now... instead of being all mysterious and enigmatic n' shit like I typically would do. Y'know, because this will likely be read and all that jazz. Anyway.
I'm a 22-year-old (in numbers, some days I feel I'm going on 43..) freelance web developer and new media consultant - in other words, I get paid ludicrous amounts of money to basically do what I was doing for fun anyway. Beyond that, I split my time equally between my passions in life, good art, good company, and something perhaps a little more obscure to most... Scleractinia and Pomacanthidae (google them, yo). I'm a massive nerd, be it physics, maths, art, et cetera, I absolutely LOVE that shit. I was "naturally gifted" in most any subject I attempted at school, but instead of actually focusing on getting good grades I spent most of my time getting baked, painting things on buildings that I didn't own, and skipping classes to get laid. Ahhhh, the sweet rebellion of youth. I kind of regret that decision, but then again it's taken me on some pretty wild adventures.
Some facts:
- I'm deathly afraid of the sea, yet love basically everything in it. Irony much?
- I used to figure skate quite successfully, which nobody seems to believe given my 6'6, 300lb+ frame.
- I was at one point highly conversant in Japanese with limited accent colouration, but after many nights of brain abuse seem to have forgotten virtually everything I learned.
- My favourite number is 7.
- I refuse to have favourites in most things, rather, I've got lists of things I don't hate.
- I'm a little bit of a sucker for romance. And when I say "a little bit", I mean I'd make Clark Gable furrow with concern.
- Intelligence is the most erotic thing known to mankind.
- I'm a strong supporter of being openly critical of one's government and one's right to hold an administration accountable for follies - a right I exercise readily and regularly. It doesn't seem to win me many friends...
- I love the mundane aspects of our existence. I find it all equally amusing and fascinating.
- I'm a firm believer in the ability for the natural order of things to influence our lives. I'm far from a hippy or whatever you'd call it (hell, I'm all but totally secularised) but I do feel cogent decisions at the right time can be a lifesaver.
- I'm Autistic. Nobody ever seems to be able to pick it up though, so I guess the many years I've spent trying to overcome it have paid off.
- I've got the bizzarest collective of useless trivia stored in my brain, all of which I can and often do recall at the most inappropriate of times.
- I'm a firm believer in the power of true love's ability to conquer most. Not all, but most.
- I've got a bit of a thing for making lists. I've also got a bit of a fetish for post-it notes and interesting vanity basin design.
- I like you. Tell me more.
So, hi I guess. I could go on, for many days no doubt, but for the sake of sanity I'll avoid it. Ask me questions. Any questions. The single best way to get to know a person is by the questions they ask you.
