I follow things in politics because I like to know whats going on. I'm pretty moderate myself in my political leanings. What I do not understand is the viscious attacks people make at those who may not agree with their views. I realize politics and religion can put a great divide between people, but it shouldn't. What about respecting other peoples beliefs and opinions? I don't just mean one side doing it I mean both. At hte end of the day regardless regardless of race, religion, or political leanings we are all just people. I'm just as guilty of it I admit that.
I bring this up because I left a comment on a conservative radio host this morning for his very bad choice of words the other day. I was very offended because of broad generalized stupid statements he made and said so in a polite way and explaining why I was offended. Someone else decided that my comments were out of line because if the host didn't call me by name in his statement I should not be offeneded and I sound like a crybaby lib. There was no reason for her comments and even if I was liberal so fucking what. It's ok if I'm offended because I'm not the target audience? This is so wrong. Why can't we be civilized and have a conversation without bashing each other ? It is really too much to ask?

I generally find with such extremes, the truth or the answer is somewhere in the middle.
Thanks again.
