This Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a smart guy. I heard he looks like a monkey but he has understood some important facts:
First he showed some days ago:
1. Elections are cool. All the hip 1st world nations have them.
2. Bad thing is, that you need to have someone trustable, who counts the votes. Mahmoud found a really smart solutions for this: He just did the counting himself.
And when his opponents said, they would like to check this he said: No. It's mine. Of course he was offended, how dare these people not to trust him, when he sais, that after counting it shows, he has won.
They were not stopping and it looks like he then finally alowed them to have a look.
I can only imagine, that many of the voting papers looked like "I vote for this hansome Mr Ahmadinejad. And I swear that I totally filled out that paper myself during the election. - Anonymous voter."
But that was not convincing enough for these people either. Seriously, what are they thinking?
But the smart Mahmoud knows another thing.
3. Violence creates violence.
4. Unless your violence kills the other one DEAD. So dead, he can't be violent anymore.
Now the so called opposition had to be so oposite it really hurt him. I don't know how you see it but I think the idea of shooting them dead is exactly the right responce here. Something that has worked throughout history of stupid dictators.
How this came to bother me? Well, this opposition demonstrated here, too (actually the first to tell me about the first 6 kills and the "demonstraters will be shot" rule). Nice people. Not so smart for Mahmoud, that he can't shoot them here.
