It's been a relatively quiet and peaceful couple of days. Not much to report.
We're about to get really busy at work so I've been rallying the troops and getting them mentally prepared to handle the madness. Everyone there except one person worked through the summer so they all know how to handle things when we go on 2 hour waits. It's just a matter of getting them to shake the dust off and flex their server skills. I'm looking forward to it because I need the money bad. One of the servers got suspended last night so that means a whole bunch of shifts just opened up and I'm going to try to snag as many as I can. My goal is to be totally exhausted by the end of the month...and financially secure again. Allegedly January's a shitty month on the island but before ya know it'll be February and Valentine's Day will bring in some dough and there'll be Mardi Gras and then next think ya know it's getting warm out again and the tourists will start trickling in and then it's $$$ time.
