Last chance on the x-mas cards. I send them out when I get paid on Tues.
I got a little tree for the house. It's fake (I hate cleaning up pine needles and real ones cost too much here) It is my little Charlie Brown Christmas tree with built in lights (they change colors) and a few "ornaments" with the lights in them. The boy really wanted something Christmas. I'm really glad I got it. The night I put it up, I turned out all the lights in the room except for the tree and watched movies, just like my sister and I always did (even when we were much older) I can't help but smile when I look at it. It is my little bit of the holidays, even though it feels like anything but out here.
During the day here it is still just as warm as usual, but at night it gets cool. And with the tradewinds whipping around like wild it gets cold in my room. And it is just me, my comforter, and my bear that I got on mothers day last year. Yep, the pains of a LDR.
Like it isn't bad enough that he's so far away and I won't get to see him for at least another 10 weeks, and like it isn't hard enough to work things around the time difference... but now I have to contend with stupid mall x-mas hours. *sigh* At least the X-mas hours are only temporary. And I suppose the distance is too, but that is further off.
I just got the trial date in the mail from my lawyer for the custody hearings. Not until August 22nd. They took into account the fact that I live here and would have to make many arrangements to get there. Only my lawyer knows that I will be living there by then. This is basically to establish visitation, legal custody (he already has physical) and child support. I have no worries this time. Though maybe I'll have someone to go with me this time.
That's all from here.
