I went dress shopping with Sid a couple Mondays ago. We had a good time and there were only a couple that I didn't like. I ordered the dress a couple days later and it just got to the house on Friday. This past Monday I went and got the veil, hair accessories and jewelry. And I got some free perfume out of the deal. It pays to know the store manager.
And a 75% finished wedding list. Tomorrow we go to his mom's house to get more addresses and to ask his sister to be in the wedding. I have to e-mail my grandmother to get addresses from her. And my mother and her mother need to get more addresses from their side. I am keeping my fingers crossed because planning has gone very smoothly up until this point.
I nearly lost it in David's Bridal today. It took me forever to find someone who could answer questions for me. (Damn you Prom Season!) My daughter is a not typical shape for an 11 yr old girl. We wear the same size dress according to the bridal shop (apparently). But I found a dress that looks great on her despite the challenges.
And Pip was right about the girls we were next to as we were looking for the dress. The one trying on the dresses wasn't too bad (though she was trying on dresses that obviously didn't work for her body type) but the women with her were SCARY! Some were scary in looks, others were scary in their gushing over ill fitting dresses. I was excited to be leaving.
We have Justice of the Peace and Limo meetings left. Then I have to figure out where I want to get my hair done. I know who I want to do my makeup (even though that is what I do for a living) I just need to talk to her about it. I'll get that taken care of after the chaos of Mothers day at the store.
Well, Taxmoney came in a couple months ago and I got a new toy out of the deal. Since all of my tax refund went into the wedding fund, Pip bought me a laptop. It's a gateway and I love everything about it except Vista. Damn you Macs why do you have to be so expensive!!!!!!
I think that is all for now.
26 more Thursdays until the wedding!
13 more Thursdays until Deathly Hallows!!!!!!!
