Have you ever had a really shitty day that was followed by a really awesome day? Well, ok, it wasn't that great, but it was one of the best days I've had in a while.
<--- see? I can be happy!
It started this morning (before I went to bed. around 5 am) with this little guy:
a little mouse looking like this was running all over the office, and it was incredib;y adorable!
Then, as I was going to bed, I looked out the kitchen window. There was a squirrel inside the bird feeder, another on the tree, and there were cardinals and varous other birds doing birdly things in the spring rain. I started to get sad about no camera then I realised I had fallen into the photography trap. Instead of enjoying the moment, I was annoyed that I couldn't get a picture. So, I decided to relax, and let the moment happen.
After I woke up, nothing special really happened. Until Tyler brought down our easter present. Apparently, yesterday didn't suck as much as I thought. We got a camera! Which amazon.com informs me has a list price of $279!! AWESOME! Plus we each got $25, so I yoinked Tyler's. Combined with the $320 we have, we're pretty close to affording my Rebel! What I want to do is ask Tyler's mom if she'll loan us the difference and let us work it off. *crosses fingers*
I might (MIGHT) be able to do this tomorrow! *crosses fingers harder*
OMG!
Which means I might be able to shoot my set around next week or the week after! YOU GUYS! I'm so excited!
I got crapped on for a while, but if this all happens, it'll be totally worth it!
Coupled with the fact that I could possibly get a prom ticket, and the fact that suddenly, everything got easier to afford (provided I ever get my school refund) - I'm extremely happy right now! Maybe all that pain and suffering and anoying shit has given way to something better! Yey, I can be optimistic!
The only really sad thing is this guy:
He got bitten on the leg by something outside He had to go to the animal hospital on sunday, and I guess he's ok. He's getting antibiotics. The scary part is, he's about 14 and extremely fat, so I'm worried about his healing capabilities. But he seems to be doing ok. I was petting him and he purred. And even though he was hard to find yesterday, today he's hanging out in his usual spots.
