Hello all,
i'm back from Ottawa and let me tell you I had the greatest and the sweetest weekend really. Sigur Ros was amazing but this is not the only thing that did worth my weekend.
Saturday:
Shitty raining day in Montreal, i found myself all soaked. But this is the day i fell in love. I was supposed to meet a friend of mine there and she came with a friend. We passed the day all together and it was great, even soaked.
Sunday:
On the morning, we hitted to road to Ottawa tired of our night and listening to 80' music, singing and everything. We arrived there at 2pm. We walked around until 6pm and we finally headed to the Bronson center to finally see Sigur Ros. The doors were supposed to open at 6h30 so we got in the line-up and we took out our pills (We bought ecstasy for the event yeah!) and we used it. But what we didnt notice, is that the doors were set to open at 7h30. Yeah... we had our rush in the line-up, that was really stupid. When Sigur Ros comes on the stage, we were at the end of that.
The gig was good, but i think it didn't really worth 50$. They were amazing yes, and they played all good songs: E-bow, Ny Batteri, a lot from their last album as well but something was missing. Something was missing, maybe light effects i dont't know. I didnt get to create my own univers around it but the music sounded just perfect. The first part of the show, An iceland band of 4 sweet beautiful girls with good music. They were great, i just wanted to hug them as they just looked so nice and so sweet. They all played violons and stuffs on Sigur Ros songs after their set, amazing. All songs were perfect. Anyway, i felt the gig was very impersonnal but i think it was about the venue, not the bands. Still, they were amazing.
