ok, fuck that last blog. I got it out, and moving on.
Yesterday was our second wedding anniversary. My flight home from Detroit was uneventful. Sharona1881 had come out Friday night and said she'd stay over again to babysit the girls, while we spent the night elsewhere. I dumped out my backpack, repacked it with fresh clothes and supplies, and out the door within an hour of coming home from the airport.
First we drove up to this little winery in Warwick, NY. They were having some sort of hippiefest with a Grateful Dead tribute band, but the $5 wine tasting was awesome. After playing rinse and spit, we grabbed a couple of bottles of wine and headed back towards home. We stopped at a local hotel, got a room with a huge jacuzzi tub and wandered off to go see a movie. By the time we got there, it was rush through dinner and get to the movie, or sit and enjoy dinner. Having been apart for several days and it being our anniversary and all, we blew off the movie. We decided to go to the Grand Luxe Cafe and were not disappointed. We just did appetizers and ate ourselves silly. They have this aged meats and cheeses board that was AMAZING - aged cheddar, blue cheese, herbed goat cheese, prosciutto, two types of salami, crumbled honeycomb and sliced apples. After that, we headed back to the hotel, opened a bottle of wine, soaked in a hot bath and then crawled into bed for the night.
After the chaos of the last few weeks, this is just what we needed.

I'm so glad you got a chance to relax after all of the chaos previously.
